I agree on muscling, she is about a body condition score of 3, we rough 'em through winter on grass hay only. We have not had her tested, but she has absolutely no clubby genetics.Freddy said:Got to agree with Forbes - more muscle an Carpe Diem would be interesting . First is there any chance of her being a carrier , play it safe use Alias . Like to know a little more about her ...

she is a silver dun Galloway, mostly Canadian genetics. We bought her in 2007. She is a 6 yr old cow. Here is a link to her pedigree. I am not sure if it will post correctly. http://www.clrc.ca/cgi-bin/extended_pedigree.cgi?_breedcode=GA&_countrycode=USA&_regnumberprefix=&_regnumber=235223&_regnumbersuffix=&_association=33cotullaguy said:what is her breeding?
It is my understanding that all of Candian and US genetics that were suspects were disposed of. I have raised Galloways for 28 years, and know basically everbody that raises them (small gene pool). To my knowledge there have been NO TH calves born. Most of the Galloways are pretty closely related, so it should have POPPED up if it was still there.Olson Family Shorthorns said:HAB said:I agree on muscling, she is about a body condition score of 3, we rough 'em through winter on grass hay only. Did Galloway's eliminate TH in the breed? It's a popular thought that Improver was 1/2 Galloway and that's how we get TH in the Shorthorns.
