Alrighty Simi breeders-I have a question for y'all.  I have a charolaisX heifer I will be breeding roughly in about 1 1/2 months.  I have a short list of 3 bulls and was wanting opinions on these bad boys.  I have Top Fuel U250 Hr ( a red simi), SS Ebonys GrandMaster and SS Ebonys Premium Blend.  All 3 have below 0 BW EPDs...but which is a SOLID calving ease and will through a usable calf (bull or heifer).  Thank you guys for any information!!

Am not familiar with the red bull; we have had both Grandmaster and Premium Blend calves;
Premium Blend is not at all for a heifer.
Grandmaster you could use if she is a big girl.
Is your heifer white or yellow?  Is so, she would be a dilutor and you have the chance of getting a rat tail gray calf.
You most likely would not find a rat tail calf real marketable.
IMO, think you should stick with a red bull; TNT Gunner is a very easy calving red Simmi bull.

Of the 3, I know the most about Grandmaster, there is a long post on here a week or so ago about his numbers coming down recently, but facts are facts, the bull has thrown some great calves and is safe to use on heifers.  If you look at his pics on Select sires website, he is very solid.

As Jenny mentioned, Rat tails are not marketable, but the rat tailed cattle  I have seen come from crossing a slick hided breed in the mix.  I know you have narrowed your list, so don't want to get you back in the bull market....I agree with Jenny that Gunner is a solid choice and red would cross good on your Char-X.  Gunner's son Top Gun is a nice red choice too.

I have 4 Grandmaster calves due the end of Feb. all to first calf heifers. If that is before you are AIing PM me and I will tell you the results. One of those is a Char/Short half blood. I have more due in March and April too but you said you were on a deadline.

I don't have any experience with the bulls you listed, but here's what I do know.

WS Beef Maker R13 (red) is a good CE purebred Simmy.

TNT Dual Focus (SimAngus) is a home run in the CE department. Used him on high percentage Angus heifers and didn't touch a single one and vigorous calves at birth and they are growing nicely too. I'm using him on all my heifers this year.
