Here’s the deal! I have tried everything I can think of and my daughters steer still has flakey skin on his tail head and hip. It’s driving me nuts.. things I have done...... Infusium 23 with conditioner and vinegar, dandruff shampoo, vinegar and water rinse, conditioner and water rinse, conditioner vinegar and water, the green stuff, revive, pro charge and coconut oil. He is still flaking!!! Any other ideas would help me so much

Usually rotating between revive and a kleen sheen/vinegar mix should do it. How often are you washing him with soap and what type of soap are you using? Also, are you making 100% sure you’re rinsing all of the soap out?

Have you tried a soap that includes a fungicide?

We use mane and tail shampoo or clear choice. 100% sure no soap is left.. I will try alternating like suggested.
I have not tried the fungus shampoo, that is a good idea.

Dandruff is usually caused by a fungus called Malassezia so yes it may be worth a shot. That's why Sullivan's make Fungus Fighter. Another to approach it would be to get some Fulvison capsules for your calves. one treatment usually works to rip them of ringworm but 2 are recommended. Ringworm is also caused by a fungus. Good luck. Also maybe just run a stinky old goat buck in with em. The old timers say that a rank Billy goat will keep calves from ever getting ringworm and a lot of feedlots have a billy running in their lots.

I have some fungus shampoo and will have my daughter start using. I can move the buck next to the steer
