I always wondered if anyone went to something like the SBA with a business plan? And what would it look like. Seems almost like to me that it would be considered a "venture capital" deal only. Unless, maybe one would start with grade cows........and add value to them by raising show calves out of them.

If you qualify for SBA help then you most likely qualify for FSA help. Then you might as well go to FSA because their rates are going to beat any commercial SBA partner and they won't require nearly the explanation.

I have developed a business plan for my livestock enterprise in the past though for a business organization competition/demonstration. It was limited to 30 pages which wasn't nearly enough to explain the many idiosyncrasies of livestock production to a judge/loan officer with no agricultural experience or background.
