Nice heifer,I know not many people have posted the Smooth Sailing calves,as I don't think many people on this message board have used him. I've seen a bunch of them other than ours and not one throw away in over 25 head we have looked at. Glad we used him, will again until he plays out.Of all the Heatwave son's,other than Monopoly,I think he is by far the best, and he works on ANGUS.

What kind of angus cow does he work best on?

I really like the calf.  Might like to see her a little deeper bit that may come with a little more age.  We got some Smooth Sailing semen ordered early this year and plan to use it on one of our Angus cows by Future Direction.  She is moderate frames and big bodied with a lot of hair for an Angus cow.  Better than average front end.  She came up AMC but was too good of a cow to throw away so we thought we would try the clubby deal and see what we can come up with.  This cow has always had a real good Angus calf, a couple of which we have shown or sold as bulls.  Hope it works with her.
