Last year when watching the shows I noticed a few calves that just seem to walk like they are on clouds. Just so smooth and easy. Really pretty to watch and of course these calves most of them placed well. This one heifer in particular won the class.
Anyone have suggestions about getting that smooth walking look? Does walking them some prior to showing loosen them up or just make them tired? Do you exercise your cattle?
Most of the other families that show seem to just leave them in small stalls and tied up. No exercise. Son's one steer I noticed seems 'tight', but the other day I ran him around the pen and afterward seemed to walk much better. Just wondering about what some of you do to achieve that smooth operating... besides the obvious (just made that way)...
Natural Stride? or other supplements? Natural Stride costs a small fortune... what's in that stuff and anyone had real noticeable success with it?
