I have a friend that has shown since the begining of time that swears by Joy soap for washing, any arguments against using Joy as it is much cheaper than Sullivans.

JOY- Too hard to rinse out, and dries the hair.

Use Suave shampoo with Protein - CHEAP, but good!

For everyday washing we used to use Ivory. Now we have switched over to Dawn Dish Soap. It works great. For shows and before clipping we use Sullivans Clear Choice.

We use Clear choice in the ez-all applicator for regular washing and Ez-all total body wash after shows.  Dish Soap leaves their hair too unmanagable for me.
Another use for clear choice is for vehicles.  My husband used it on our dually and it shining like you would not believe.
