I had my phone handy while I was out heat checking... took a few pics while I was out.
The first pic is a late January embryo heifer, 3/4 sib to Built Right. She is sired by Dream On and her dam is ETR Antoinette. We have a flush brother that was born in the fall, and though he will not be a show bull he sure is thick and has a "pig butt'!!! He will make a great herd bull.
The second pic is another embryo calf, sired by Built Right out of SOSF Joys Shadow (there are embryos for sale in the classified by this same mating). The jury is still out on him, but I think he would make a great heifer bull. I have two more embryos in the tank, hope for a heifer from this mating.
The third pic is a Montecito heifer, October born. My son will be showing her this year.
The 4th pic is our Lock n Load embryo bull just a few weeks old. We got those embryos from Lazy H last spring, the dam is the SS U Nights Misti cow, so we were surprised there was no white on this guy, but boy does he have bone and natural thickness! We have another embryo coming in September, and just put the third one in (not sure if it stuck yet or not, to soon).
The last pic is a rear shot of our little 45 pound wonder. She is out of a first calf angus heifer (Pioneer x CA Future Direction) and sired by Beef Maker. She was born in September at 45 pounds, and now probably weighs over 600 pounds. She has grown well! She is bred and owned for our oldest daughter, and will likely get shown this year.
Well, there they are. I love the babies! Seeing them grow and develop... so much fun!
