Sore foot

My heifer has an abcess on her foot. Not sure where, my dad told me this morning. He has given her a shot of penicillin and sprayed coppertop on her hoof. Is there anything else i should do. Her foot is swolen and she limps but she can walk.

If you can get to the sore try scrubbing in out with a toothbrush and peroxide. Then I would pour some bedadine (sp?) on it.
