Sorry, didn't add the following, space constaints!

1) D. Kirklevington 112, August 2011 heifer by All Gold, early Jan 2012.
2) Tukulu Swallowtail 616, the dam of the All Gold bull calf in the last picture of the previous post.

They're some top calves Duncraggan, well done!  <beer>
I really like the All Gold calves. Some awesome looking mama cows as well!  Gerald Spry offered me the Canadian rights in All Gold a few years ago, and I thought I wanted a walking bull to put in the pasture rather than more semen so I passed on his offer. Looks to me that I may have passed on a very good opportunity!

Really like the calves. Does he sire heifer calves, only bulls pictured here. Not sure if I missed it but where are you from?

That Tukulu Swallotail cow looks like she is right out of Okotoks pasture! Nice looking cow, the depth on her is amazing. If she is only 1400 lbs or less then that is pretty impressive. She looks about 1700 lbs in that picture or 800 kg. Does she get to that size during the year and then drop down to 613 kg? Very nice cattle there Duncraggan!

If you go to Indiana NRCS Grazing and Forages Webpage and click on the Grazing Bites link, the second cow with white marks is a daughter of x3873000 SPRYS STARS AND STRIPES 6 , a bull that worked well for Waukaru and others.  "Stars and Stripes" fits this time of year, and the 6th would add qualities sought by many--thickness, bone, and capacity.  He also added marbling and BW.

I looked for some All Gold heifer pictures, to follow!  By the way, the D. Kirklevington 112 is a heifer (silver roan).

They were all born early August 2011.

Farm in South Africa.

I did a quick search of some other weights.

The highest ever cow weight at weaning for me has been 777kg.  She is a much bigger cow than T. Swallowtail 616!  Couldn't find a picture.

The cows below had weights at weaning of 463kg and 510kg respectively.

I must also add that the 2011\12 summer was the best we have had since I have been farming, and these cow pictures are of autumn 2012 calvers in February 2012, just before calving!

we have a ET pure gold daughter out of spry's maid, she is a 2 yo this year, and has a really nice udder, and a great heifer calf at side, she won her clas at the RAWF in toronto last year as a yearling. she topped the calf division of the shady brook production sale in 2010

I'm pretty sure there were a couple of Spry's All Gold ET calves at Shadybrook when we were touring there a couple of weeks ago. I think they were were out of the Spry's Maid X147 cow. They had calves out of her by other bulls as well that were really fancy.
There will probably be calves out of Maid at their sale in September.

Man, me too.  With that easy fleshing stature, the more lbs she can't pack on, the better.  She's obviously not the "framey" type.
