Looking for advice,
We need to find a filler to maintain his weight for a couple of months, Sale Date is in September. Already Weighing roughly 1130#
We had been using beet pulp shreds & is not cutting it.

Any Advice is greatly appreciated!

So, you want to keep him the same weight for a couple months, correct?

First, like steer lover 4ever said, are you soaking the beet pulp? If not, you need to because it will expand in your steers stomach and can make him bloat. The beet pulp will also do it's job if it's soaked.

What grain are you feeding? Are you feeding like a beef text with the beet pulp or just beet pulp? What's your goal weight, because right now, if your steer is gaining good, he should be around 1500-1550 at sale date.

If you are feeding like beef text or something, I would add in about 50% oats in it. If you weigh him in a week and your steer has gained a decent amount cut back on the grain by a few pounds. I don't really understand why your trying to maintain your steers weight instead of gain more, unless he is getting really finished by now.
