Hey this is my steer and I'm just wanting some honest opinions about him. Thanks!

If he is for a feeder he is fine, if you plan on showing him, I have some dislikes. He is not deep enough in the middle, looks tight flanked, topline is week and breaks at the shoulder. He is heavy in the front and looks light boned. This could be the angles of your photos, but from your pictures I do not really care for him.
He could also be in that ugly stage and everything I said could be wrong.

Good luck regardless of my opinion

Well I show in February and he is one of the smaller framed calves for the show. I will take some better pictures of me setting him up and upload them later.

Personally he isn't terrible but not amazing either, for a county fair.  We always have about 10 that look about like him at our show.  I personally would like to see more of the white calf in the background.

does he have some white in the flank area? if he does you might want to color that black to make him look deeper, that is if your show allows it.

I can see my pen (old pen) in the background :) And you might want to listen to the people on here, they know what they're talking about.
