are their any shows that put a maxium weight limit on the steers in a show ?  and what is the weight ?

Having travelled the IJBBA circut quite a bit and various county, regional and state shows, I have never noticed an upper limit printed.  Good judges will make comments about appropriate weight and often consider that in their rankings.  State fair winners the past few years have generally been in the low 1300's...

Probably not the type of show you are asking about, but our county fair has an upper limit of 1450 with a lower limit of 1050.  I did hear one of the leaders saying he's trying to talk them into 1000 lower and no upper.  Who knows.
