Steer weights

Question are the Grand Champion Steers getting heavier from the normal 1200 - 1299 lbs? Is the trend moving to heavier steer weights?

I would say 1300-1350 lbs. is the appropriate weigh for your state fair.

I agree. Try not to get over 1400.

Around 1300 is a popular weight but not above 1400 they tend to become less free moving if they get too large.

1325 is money... I feel like it should be whatever weight you deem your steer to be finished at.
