have you ever seen any inox cattle in person...for people that claim Inox is nearly fault free, they have never suckled up a calf...or been concerned about red meat yield on the carcass...they lack a lot of hip.

XXCC, I was talking about all the traits like calving ease, fertility, soundness, etc., etc.. I have both owned  and seen his progeny. If slow to suckle up is one of his traits then I missed out on that. Heavy muscled or light muscled was not equated in the equation of fault free. I do know from owning Inox progeny and having both conversations and observing them with his owner in the pastures that he was not responsible for posted legged, arthritic issues, monkey mouth, double muscling or any of the other genetic abnormalties. He certainly was not a bull that would throw them stout or heavy muscled.

sorry, i guess I was talking about the rest of the traits that most commercial cattleman value, disposition, manners both in the field and in the corral, udder structure, red meat yield, etc.  I don't doubt the calving ease, but Inox will ruin an udder as fast or faster than Cunia can fix it, from my experience.

XXCC, thanks for the reminder. I sometimes forget how enormously complex this industry really is. And I truly mean that. Your the real cattleman and I'm the the hobbyist.  <cowboy>

Inox was not my favorite bull and would never recommend him, but he is in the pedigree of my favorite and best cow that I ever owned numerous times. She is as close to ideal as any cow I have had.

anyone got a nice pic of inox other than the one in the 77 sire summary?

knabe I don't know if this really qualifies as a nice picture and it may very well be the same one that you are referring to.  Probably will not show up to great as it is scanned out of a 25 year old semen catalog and wasn't that great to start with.

Stinger and Total Play both ran on cows about a half hour from me at Tom Klingner's.....I think in the same time frame even......

I want to do some industry and breeder history videos here in the near future....and my ole buddies Tom and Tyrone have got to be one of the first!

What do you think about that??? Should be COOL, huh?
I bet that video with Tom will be a riot.
