has anyone went to their private treaty sale in sept before? whats the quality like and whats the prices like?

Have been there a couple of years.  Some darn good cattle roaming the pature sales at Johns and Joes places.  Most of the better horns go through the maternal legends sale I think, but there are some good ones on occation at the pasture sale.

what about the short-plus caliber heifers? and what are prices usually like?

These sales are WELL worth the trip and the look.  There are soooooo many quality animals that you will find some decent prices on quality cattle mixed in with the big boys.
