We are pleasantly happy with the progress of our show heifers.
MissMayor hit a very competitive class at Iowa Beef Expo and ended up 5th out of 12. She is a Sugar Rush X LifelinexSooner. She is gaining 3.5#/day since December and weighed 1047. the top two in her class ended up 3rd and 4th overall breeding heifers. judge said she had too much shoulder and a heavy navel. I don't disagree, but she also has a lot more muscle. She may find herself in a market division next time out.
CoCo is a Monopoly Money X Sunseeker that is more market styled, and will be in the market division next time out. She was 7th out of 14 as a commercial heifer. She is only gaining 2.0#/day, so I just wormed her again. My avatar pic is CoCo back in September.
