I have not got time right now to post the results, but I will find time later today. We had a good sale, 50 bulls averaged $2848. I haven't had time to figure out our own average yet, but it would be over $3000 for sure. We had 4 bulls pass and we sold 3 of them at the sale average after the sale. What is really surprising to me, is that we had several people there wanting white bulls. I have three guys who asked me after the sale about white bulls. There were at least 10 people at the sale wanting to buy breeder bulls, who did not get the bull they wanted and went home without one.We even had guys trying to buy bulls that had not passed their semen tests. About 10 went to the US to Texas, Kansas, Iowa, N Dakota, Michigan.
The internet was frustrating, to say the least. The night before the sale it was working perfectly. Sale morning it was terrible. The internet provider said he had 85 messages on his phone when he arrived at work. They did get it going and I have talked with people in eastern Canada and in several parts of the US who said they had pretty good reception, but I have also talked to some that said they did not get it working.
We had a commercial outfit who bought 9 bulls. They bought several of the top end bulls and several were $4000 +. Nice to see commercial guys willing to show the purebred breeders a few things. They dropped almost $31,000 in this years sale and bought 6 bulls last year as well. I will give more info later when I get some more time
