Looking for thoughts on this 4h heifer.  She hasn't been clipped yet.  She was just rinsed.  She is a No Worries daughter.

She looks like she has good lines and a feminine front.  When she fills out, she should be okay.  Push her a little bit, but don't get her too fat and ruin her for a cow.

Looks a little straight structured and a little shallow.

The heifer is a little plainer made, quality hay (all she wants) and some grain will help. just training the hair will also help. She does appear to be an easy going type which is a plus.

What would also help her looks in the photo is working the hair, it goes all kinds of direction and chops up her lines. A halter that fits properly, it just chops things up, gives her an odd look. the photo from a little lower, from up higher they always appear shallower than they are, and a many-petty.

Yes, I bet she looks better with a clip job.

Thanks for the advice.

Here are a few pictures from late March.  Sorry, my photography leaves a little to be desired.

She does not look like the same heifer at all, does she look the same now as she did in those March photos, if so she is a little tank.

Work the hair and clip her up, I bet she looks good.

I think you have a nice solid heifer to work with. You'll need to work on setting her up properly so she looks her best (with her back legs scissored and her head higher). Keep rinsing her regularly because her hair is still in need of training. She could also use a bit more condition before your show but I think with a little more work and feed you'll have her looking great!

I'm not sure why she looks so shallow in the first pic.  Probably my poor photography skills.  The last 3 pics are a more accurate display of how she is built. Yes she is a tank and she moves really well.

She is getting rinsed daily.  We will keep working with her hair.  We have about 4 weeks until our fair.

Thanks everyone.
