I think in todays economy that to charge to watch a sale is a bad mistake. If Brad needs to make more money, then he may need to charge the sale more instead.

I will chime in that hosting video can be a bandwidth hog, especially if you have a large base of users at the same time.  All the videos people post on here our embeded from youtube, so it is not pulling from our site.

I can't give you what it would cost to host, because I have no clue how many users would be viewing the video at 1 time.  But, a membership fee is probably going to turn some people off.

I do have plenty of experience with $3k/month hosting bills and video and in my opinion the idea that each bidder is costing them $50/year is laughable.

Will all sales require a subscription?  Or just certain high profile ones?  Need to justify the cost before buying a subscription...  Thanks!

I guess I don't question the cost, I do question having the buyer foot the bill for it.  Call me cheap, but it's kind of like the party JIT was talking about where they had a party and charged 20 at the door when you left, leaves a foul taste in your mouth.

I was busy, a Friday, imagine that. Did anyone get any prices from McKays? Just from glancing at OH breeders, the Exposure opens look WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY down in price.

I just figured they would be. The guy who pays $1500-$5000 for a heifer works for a living and is afraid to spend. I think it's gonna be a long sales season form now until next Labor day. The really high ones won't be affected. The people who buy them aren't affected by the real world.

All i know is that we like to watch the sales online and phone bid this was a serious turn off and the sales we have done this in before wont get out buisness again becouse of this inconveince. I understand about hosting fees but i think this is the wrong was to go about it
