Who is the ones to watch?

All the usual suspects, of course, but I'm hearing a little extra buzz about Stierwalts steer.  I haven't seen him in a long time, but I'd sure say he'd be one to watch.

Watch for any of Glover's calves, especially the one of Ryan Stults. Bonham will be tough as always. Buck and Griswold will have good calves. Tad Kite might have a good one.Have heard Almosta Farm of Guthrie might have a good Shortie.Who is judging this year?It will be tough as nails as usual. They should have a good prospect show this year as most reallly liked the idea last year. We don't have anything down that way this year.We raised and sold the Champion Mainetainer heifer last year.Great show and good facilities.

I sure wanted to go, but with the combination of work, and the fact that both of my kids' steers are waaaaaaay too big for the prospect show curtailed us going. I could've got around the work thing, but I wasn't going to try to suck 150-200 pounds off of our calves at this point in time. Oh well, Grant County will be represented by some of our friends that are dragging stters from Bonhams, Christy Collins, and Levi Bond.

Did you mean Colby Collins? I didn't think his sister sold any steers? I may be wrong though.

It was my understanding that this particular calf came from Christy last spring. I could have misunderstood anyway. I'm certain it came from Frederick, OK though.

OK, help me with the date... DLD you're usually in the know. Might just try and make it up. I always thought The Tulsa State Fair steer show as being one of the toughest.

Tulsa Champion Fat Steer went to Stierwalt  Reserve was a Monopoly that Jerrod Arthur sold. I think the Champion was a Heat Wave. This is from phone conversation at Tulsa at a busy time.

I believe he was a Heat Wave x Meyer 734.

Sorry Telos, I was probably already on my way when you posted.  It was a good week for us - my son made the sale with his Hereford steer and won his class with his Chi influence heifer.

Glad you did well DLD. That's is my favorite steer and heifer show. Always enjoyed the cooler fall weather.
