This is an early January calf my nine year old is very excited about.  He can show her as bred and owned.  She is nursing a 10 year cow.  The cow is an impact shaker out of a improver 57 cow and the calf is out of MM Delco.

This heifer is out of a full sister to the calf aboves mother Impact shaker improver 57 and a Charolais bull.  We have a neighbor who buys really good charolais bulls but keeps no records.  We know his bull was in with my cows for one day.  She is an mid February.

Really good looking calves. That first one is just so deep really nice flashy heifer. The Short-Charolais cross is a pretty good mix, i would mind having one.

My son showed a full sister to the top heifer when he was 7 and he really got along well.  The first time he showed he was reserve supreme at a decent sized show.  Kinda ruined him, it has not been that easy ever since.  He has been excited about this calf since I told him it was a heifer.  I am not sure that thier is not two or three better ones but he does not care.  He can pet her out in the field.  I still need to do something with the Delco bull.  I have several daughters and he needs a new home.  He can really sire some nice calves.

I was a little disapointed when my neighbor told me one of his bulls was with my cows.  I figured I would have a heavy calf to take to the sale barn.  But I have very pleasently surprised.  That heifer is as stout as you can make one and still keep them neat fronted.  I will try and get some more pictures tonight.
