Nice calf.  Do you expect him to be competitive in your county?  Around here he'd definitely be in the top 5 overall I'd say.  What would you say he weiighs?

Yes, we hope to be competitive.  It depends on the weight, IMO.  I am hoping he weighs in the mid 1200's.  He is close to a May 1st calf so we'll see Thursday Morning.

Hair is starting to come now and we are thinking of taking him to State Fair as well.

Oh, by they way the steer was purchased off Meysenburg Show Cattle/Ruth's Clear Choice Sale in Nebraska.  He was raised by Farwest and out of a PB Angus Freedom daughter purchased from Freddy.  He is sired by a Herd Bull of Farwests.

Nice calf, he would be tough in our county.  But then again in our county if they are really finished they are tough to get by.  LF

Good job with the steer but it makes me think about my fair.
The calf that took grand was such a powerful steer I'm thinking i'm gonna have to spend some major money to beat them next year!!
this was grand steer very nice!  GO ALLISON!

Good deal! Are you taking him to state fair or selling him?
We are taking him to the State Fair.  He should be looking his best their.  He needs to put on some wieght.
