It seems like I can never get a clear answer for any of these around here so here are my questions.

1. What do you vacinate with? What brand as well as the type of product?
2. When do you vacinate? do you do all your cows along with the calves
3. Do you give any type of Tetnus?

Thanks in advance

I would recommend talking to a vet in your area to see what he recommends.  I know for our 4-H club and our local Cattleman's Association our vet cam and spoke about vaccines.  He had a slide show and passed out hand outs of the types of vaccines he recommend giving for our particular area.  I know some come ones are a 5 way vaccine for(IBR, PI3, BRSV, Lepto, BVD), blackleg, pinkeye, shipping fever, and respiratory infections.  I know pfizer makes a lot of good vaccines.  But again your vet should be willing to tell you what you need for your particular area.

I agree...talk to your vet or extension specialist.  Your location (& breed of cattle) make a difference when selecting vaccines.  The basics to start with are IBR, PI3, BRSV, & BVD.  Blackleg for calves and add Lepto for breeding age animals. Add to that according to any problems you've had in your herd (pinkeye, tetanus, etc) and any diseases that have been affecting cattle in your area.  As far as brand - an extension specialist who gave a herd health talk to our local cattle producers once said that price and quality are directly related when it came to vaccines.  And for the most part this is true.  Personally, I am using a Phizer vaccine this year.  Modified live vaccines are better than killed but you have to use the entire bottle when it is mixed.
Ideally, you want to vaccinate breeding animals 2 weeks to a month prior to breeding.  Calves should recieve 2 sets of vaccines, ideally one around a month prior to weaning and another at weaning (or at weaning and another set 2 weeks to a month later).
