Usually you add corn oil to the feed ration for few reasons. Is that what you are talking about? Most of the corn oil they will add a cherry smell to it.

YOu can use a variety of oils- corn, vegetable, sunlfower etc. They point is to increase caloric intake. Too much oil will cause loose stools. Wheat germ oil is better for skin and hair. It doesn't take a bunch.

When we ground our own feed we used to add vegtable oil to keep the oil down, does the same thing as the more expensive oils you can buy.

The only time I've heard of veg. oil being used for cattle was to relieve bloat. I've never heard of putting it in feed, but while thinking about it; it could work. Let us know if it does.

Does anyone know for sure if cattle like cherry flavored corn oil, or does it just smell good to us therefore we think that they like it? Every time I see that about the flavoring, I wonder, so I'm asking now. Is it a sales gimic?

Is it made in China? Gotta love the Chinese quality control on all their products - cherry flavor containing lead, eye of newt, melamin, and for good measure generic viagra

I have never had calves refuse to eat their feed with whatever the cheapest oil I can get dribbled on it - corn, vegetable, saflower, etc
