Does any one know what the main ingredients are in Vita Ferm? I was thinking of ways to save some money if possible, since that stuff is pretty pricey!

The active ingrediant in Vita ferm is Amaferm and it is only in Vita Ferm. It is pricey but if you are feeding Sure Champ it is only fed a pound per head per day. So all in theory a bag should last almost 2 months per animal. If I were you I would feed it clear through from putting on feed til fair. It has several great benefits for all ages of cattle.

Once the calf is a custom to it's mineral intake he will only use around 4 ounces of mineral intake per day. therefore less than 2 50lb bags will take your calf to the finale show days.

We use it on the show calves from the day they are weened to the last day they hit the ring.  We stay at the one lbs per head per day all the way, sometimes increasing towards the end on the big heifers.  Depends on what we are trying to accomplish.  The increased efficiency the calves will have as far as feed conversion while on Sure Champ will more than offset the cost.  I'm not one to use the next "miracle in a feed bag". But we wouldn't be with out Sure Champ and the other Vita Ferm minerals at our place!

I agree with rtmcc..

I think once you get them on it, you will find that your overall feed savings will make it actually seem very inexpensive to feed.    We are sold on it..  as well as the vita-ferm mineral & protien tubs.
