Some pictures of 2 year old Waygu Heifers. All forequater good fat hfrs but no rear end. Angus breeders chasing marbling keep going and your herd will look like this.

Agree that is a good idea but Waygu are a good example of single trait selection. They offer great marbling and are fine boned but poor weight gain, feed conversion,mothering ability and  milk production

You mean Wagyu cattle haven't always looked like that?  Aren't they sposed to be the best tasting - worst looking cattle in the world?
