we are 5 heifers  our of 4 cows this year. i am hoping for at least two steer calves. We didn't ahve that many last year.

Hey, how do you get them to drop steer calves?

I've never figured out how to get that done. I have always had to band my bull calves.

Well, I have a special relationship with my cows. I ask them kindly if they will remove the testicles prior to delivery as to make it more humane. usually they are in agreement and we have steer calves. Occasionally they will let one slip and I get a bull.

Wow can tell a front moved in, had 9 since 11 p.m. Had to pull an Unforgiven #22, HUGE, 140 plus, Had some Legends, Echos, and a Wrangler 19D embryo. There is a Kaboom and a Heatwave and I think a Hairy Bear on the way, I'm afraid if I go to sleep my body won't let me wake up! OH Breeder how exaclty do you word it when you kindly ask your cows to remove the testicles? I would like to try that myself! (lol)

I would like to have my cows try that, not me!  Just pulled a Texas Hold 'em backwards, may today will be boring!
