Wanting a blue roan what to breed to ?

I have a Charolais cows and im looking for a bull that will through a blue roan calf out of her anyone have any thoughts on a bull that would do the trick?

Don't think you will get blue roans out of pure char cows.  You need a black gene and a white gene for blue roan.  When those match in any char matings that i have seen you end up with smokies.  I will say i am not great at all the possible color combos out there when it comes to cattle, so i could be wrong.

It is my understanding that the purebred white Charodlais carry the red gene and the diluter.  That a F1 blue roan would be tough, even if you bred to a blue roan bull.  Have you thought of buying embryos? Sullivans embryo sale is coming up soon.

virtually impossible to do.. best chance would be breeding to a blue roan.. but that's prob like 1 in a milliion...
