This is my second year of helping my daughter show Angus/simm heifer. Our first show isn't until late Feb. I hear of everyone washing there cattle down once a week.. Its been 0-10 daytime highs, and -5 overnight. I know most of the "bigger" scale showmen have heating and cooling rooms. All I have is a heated shop for my farm equipment. I tried to wash her and dry her in there but the floor is way to slippery and I don't want her to spread her back legs and go down. What could a guy throw down on the shop floor? rubber mats? I tried lime that just got mushy. Thanks for any help!
I'm a 4th generation cattle producer, but this showing cattle is all together a new game. My daughter is 13 this Christmas, and really enjoys it. Just trying to do everything "right" . Thanks Bryan72

Rubber trailer mats, will work as long as you keep her contained on the mats.

Outdoor carpet that look like fake grass and we have also used rolled roofing material. Both are lightweight and you put them away if spring ever comes and reuse next year.
