My daughter talked me into a solid white shorthorn this year. We wash on a regular basis but he has some spots that don't seem to get bright white like he was. Does anyone have any recommendations on a hair product that can brighten those dingy spots?

Sullivans bright lights...scrub it in until the purple tint is gone and let it set for a couple minutes before rinsing.  I've used the oxiclean laundry spray with much luck too!  You also may want to try listerine or some good ole white touch up :)

we used bright and white or bright lights ..if using the bright and white just dont leave the purple streak scrub it in the area ..a dingy spot is better than a purple lol (speaking from experience :) )

I will say in our experience with my nephews shortie heifer, she had some spots on her that were blondfish colored hair...not possible to get white.  When we fIrst got her, we thought we just couldn't get her clean, but that turned out not to be the case...she had some blotches of darker (for lack of a better term) white hair.  I wish we would have figured that out before we practically scrubbed the hair off of her and used every whitening shampoo known to man! But I will say we used a product called "Cowboy Magic Shine In, Yellow Out" and while expensive, works great...on areas that are actually white! Lol. Good luck

The liquid oxy clean worked on some spots..Haven't tried it myself but I've heard of people using proxide and or clorox bleach and letting that bleach the hair white.. Hopefully others have insight on the clorox
