ok, here it is....i cant even tell you how many hours i have labored over this...i need some "constructive" critism about the webpages....i know some of the pictures arent that great....we have went thru several cameras over the years and im still not happy...so its a case of working with what you have...

make sure you have your volume on...there is music with each page, except links(havent figured it out yet)....and i was wondering on the homepage...when it loads on my computer the first time thru for the song, it skips...does it do that on yours?

about the links page....is it ok to link to steerplanet?  and i do realize my link titles are dark and dont show up, still trying to figure out how to change that....

Looks pretty good!!!  I think you've got a good start.  I know when I put my website up, I spent a lot of time going back to redo or tweak something.    It's also hard to stay on top of updates.

It took awhile for the music to load & then I had to click to allow the Active X.  I'm not a big fan of music on websites anyway so I usually have my sound turned off.

Good point kanshow. I don't know what it is, but nothing will drive me away from a website faster, than music playing in the background.  I am really a music kind of guy, but something drives me close to insane when I go to a website and the music starts. I find it most distracting. I usually have a radio and/or TV blaring in the background when I do most anything else so I don't know why this is.  If I were to make one suggestion.... and it may be just for me and no one else.... forget the catchy tunes!

I also don't like the music. I like the website and layout. If it were mine, I'd probably try and get some better, more accurate pictures of the cattle. It might just be me, but its a big turn off for me when I see pictures taken at wierd angles, etc.

I really like your two foundation cows out of Elbee Gizmo's Image. Those two look to be making great cows. If you AI'd them to top bulls and then culled their progeny hard I think you'd end up with a good cowherd.

Also you might want to look into URL Redirecting unless you are posting your site on a directory like showsteers.com.  The freewebs.com/whatever kind of looks a bit unprofessional if it has to be typed in.

I think you still did a great job with the site. The colors and everything look great, the text is easy to read, and its easy to get to the next page.

Good morning!  I have a few comments for you:  I LOVE the somewhat retro colors of the site's homepage.  Very understated and professional looking. I'd offer, however, that there is a little too much copy there.  Besides music, one thing that stops people from thoroughly investigating the site is too many words.  I respectfully suggest you consider an "about us" page (maybe in lieu of the "Thank You" page you have now) where you put the personal 'stuff'.  I believe the first page people open when they visit should talk about your cattle program - period - if you're site is designed to promote your cattle.  It takes a lot of scrolling to get to the bottom.  The biblical quotes, in my opinion, either should be smaller font sized or moved to the "about us" page to go along with your thanking of the Lord.  Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian and have no problem thanking and quoting Him, but I don't like it quite so large.  I don't have a problem with any of your pictures.  They load quickly and I don't mind the various casual "around the farm" pictures as I like to see cattle au natural to see the true conformation.  I also like the slide show feature as I can quickly look at all the pics without the endless scrolling of some sites with lots and lots of cattle pics.  So, in summary, some of the personal info is a bit 'much' but the overall look and color choices of the site are great!  How about thinking about this:  offer a link button on the left with the rest of the navigation buttons to link to a family type blog.  There you can put lots of the personal info that lets people comment and learn more about what makes you and your family who your are!  Nice goin'!

I agree that the front page has a really nice look to it, but I too would shorten it up.  Usually when I go to a web page I am looking for something specific so will not spend a lot of time on the front page.  I think that it should be viewable in one screen and you should not have to scroll down and it will provide more impact.  I am also not a big music fan and more ften than not will either skip a website with music or turn off my sound.  Evryone has different tastes in music and if theirs is different than yours it might turn them off of your site.  I like the slide show way that the pictures are displayed, but I would really try and use ONLY photos that are very complimentary of the animals they represent.  They are good in terms of the quality of the photo but the subjects do not always look their best.  Being an amateur photographer that loves to shoot pictures of cattle I know that can be a real chore to get just the right photo of a bull or calf, but it is worth it when you see the results.  Overall a nice site, wish I had the patience to sit down and build one myself!

I am another one who does not like music on websites.  In addition I don't know if it is just my computer or the fact that I am on dial up but on your homepage as soon as the first note of music played the page froze up and I was unable to navigate or even click to close the page.  Otherwise the layout of the site looks good.

That is probably the biggest arguement against music.  The other as someone mentioned is that not everyone's taste is the same & what I find pleasing could be a complete turn off to someone else.

First CONGRATS. anyone who has the energy to put up a websight I give credit to.

I like the color scheme and the fist page. but, I am with some of the others. Allow the viewer to turn the music off. Some websights will have an icon for the music player you can stop it. I find it distracting.
The pictures are great! NIce quality photos of your cattle. THey really are flattering to your stock. THe girls in the photos are CUTE! I am assuming they are yours.

Looks great!

<party>  Great Job!  I love the home page.  It makes me feel like I could stop by for a cup of coffee and a visit to see your cattle!  Good work!
