Weird Lump????

I was bathing my show steer today and I noticed he had a ping pong sized lump on the side of his neck. It is not visible because he has lots of hair. It is hard and when I touched and pressed agasint it gently, it did not seem to cause him pain. There is nothing coming out of it, it is not poking out of the skin, literally just feels like there is a ping pong ball under his hide. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?????

Yes he did, me and my dad suspect it might be from that.

That would be my guess. Especially if the lump is "hard" to the touch.
