What are These?

Over the past couple of years I have found several of these (4 - 5) in my barn lot.  The ones I have found have all been within 50 yards of each other, though I have never found more than one at a time.  My barn lot is secluded with no other buildings, houses, etc within a half mile. 

From what I can tell they are some sort of explosive device, and the gray ones are "singles" and the yellow ones are "doubles."  They are attached to a very heavy poly cord.  We are in a military fly zone, and I'll often see F15's flying, but almost always at a very high altitude.  Something falling from these planes and landing consistently in my barn lot seems a bit unlikely to me, but who knows.

What the heck are they?

I have no idea what they are,  but seems spooky that one says explosives and the other says danger--  and they are falling from the sky.

You dont have any strange holes in the ground or big craters where your manure pile used to be?

has your country ever been seismographed for minerals?  We have had this done several times in the past few years. There are explosives detenated in this process and while the crews are supposed to pick everything up, sometimes some things get left. Most of the miles of cables and equipment are distributed by helicopter. It is amazing to watch the helicopter pilot lower the bags of cables, and also pick them up with no one on the ground to assist him. The copter hovers about 50-60 feet above the ground and a cable is lowered and he hooks in on the straps of the bags and then raises them up into the copter.

That is the only thing I can think of that might use something like this.

Is there a rock quarry in your area?  I have seen those in loads of gravel and I assume that they were used as explosive devices to break up the rock into manageable size before it went to the rock crusher.

I think you have something there.  I have found each one on my driveway stone.  I thought it strange they were all on the stone.

Those are from the quarry that the gravel came from.  They are used to detonate the charges in the quarry.  No need to call the FBI or any other authorities.  It is not uncommon to see them.
