What do you sell your hamburger for? Have a young cow that wont breed, going to grind the whole thing. Any suggestions? Thanks

IMO 3.00/ lb is a fair price. They pay processing. Never sold one for just hamburger before but if you look at the store you will pay that if not more a lb for burgers.  On avg I have sold my beef live weight for around 1.25/lb. I normally charge a flat rate for steers and the customer pays processing. Hope this helps a little bit.

I would go $2.00/ hanging wt.- it's basically a cow you're selling

2.00 is a good deal from you. I should have said 3.00 if your selling by the packages not the whole beef. Im guessing you going to get around 400 to 500 lbs of meat? If you sell it all one shot, then I would think 2.00 is fair. I know farmers markets around here, if your lucky enough to find beef for sale, the price is at least 3.00 lb. More for grass fed all natural beef which I find interesting. The few farmers I know of that sell beef at local markets do very well.

We sell ours 2.00/lb hanging carcass. They pay processing. Usually if take what they will yeild on a 60-70% avearge dress it comes out to be pretty cheap. 2.00 for us usually works out to 1.25 live weight
