I can probably go back to the sixties and start with the so called purebreds and work my way up until the crossbreeding programs got hot,and I think you would find that it has always been the way it is right now. Until enough people use enough of the other bulls that are available,providing they start winning,on a regular basis,this trend will always continue. All of a sudden a new bull on the block that has no HW blood or any of the other popular sires,starts siring cattle that win and win alot,guess what happens? The trendy thing to do is use THAT NEW BULL!! It comes and goes in cycles,always has and probably always will.
