what is a decent little bottle calf worth?

My son has a chance to buy a little bottle calf that is a Steer.  It's a Dr. Suess x not sure (have to check)  The owner doesn't want to reg. the calf, that would be up to me.  What are these little guys worth?

Down in my neck of the woods (South Texas) bottle calf can go anywhere from $100 to $200.

Sold one a couple of months ago @ 3 days old for $125

Last Sat. at the local barn they had 7 or 8 calves. Sold from 185 to 245 dollars each. We are in SW Iowa.
