PVF ALL PAYDAY 729

Maine/cross bred cows...
Walks Alone

We will be breeding the shorthorns to MM Delco; Elbee Throwback and JB Gus.  How easy they are born and how the calves look in March will determin how much each bull gets used.  On the commercial we will use Bismark and Northern Improvement sons; a brangus and a gelvieh bull.  We just fininshed calving a group of hiefers that would be 1/4 gelvieh anf 3/4 angus and the calves were out of a brangus bull.  They are the fastest growing calves we have ever had.  The came tiny and have just exploded.  I would never call them pretty but if you wanted a uniform group that weighed a bunch at weaning they would fit that bill.  I think they are clean enough we will not take to bad of a hit when we sell them in the spring.

Shorthorns we will be breeding to Fringe or Exile.  The couple club calf cows we have will go to a charolais influenced to moderate them a little more, thinking Choppin Wood, True Grit, or The Situation.  Also thinking about Texas Twister.  The Shorthorn Pluses will go to Young Money.  All will be cleaned up with our herd bull, a HD Bloodstone SonXAugusta Pride.

Charolais
Keys Tenacious 86X

BC Classic
SCAR 7N88
Pyro
Potentially a Heiken or Malson Bull calf to clean up

TJS Berry Cherry
HXC Jackhammer

So has your Club King come yet? We are really disappointed in ours, but time will tell. She is a January, nothing special, out of a Preferred Beef x Cottonwood cow.

I lost my senior sire 108 this fall so on the cows,Kaper 4508,Wolf Ridge Frontline, and Wolf Ridge Pioneer H2961x.I,have it narrowed down to 3 choices to use on on the heifers which are  all 108 daughters.2 are 108 sons and one is a President  son out of 108's dam. Here is a picture of  one of the 108 sons at 7 mo.,3 wks after weaning

I just put the semen in a couple weeks ago. My herd consultant recommended him for powering up some of my high percentage Angus females. My target market is selling bulls to commercial breeders and I think Club King should fit the bill.
