Need to start with a super sound female to use Sun Seeker.  They can have some of the same issues as the Heatwaves.

I believe justin was saying to use WMW.

When I took a little trip over the weekend to some of the Iowa sales, Heatwave on a Meyer/Angus cow has turned out some super results. I don't think you could go wrong with the simmi deal. I saw lots of HW x Meyer and they all had a similar look. Soft made kind of soggy easy feeding kind of steers. Medium-Heavy bone and good haired. Attached is a heat wave x meyer

Never had a throw away with Sunseeker or have heard of any.
The only way I could see problems is not watching carriers.

Thanks to everyone who responded this gives us something to look at.  We don't know the PHA or TH status on either of the heifers so will have to be careful of that.

I would have to agree heatwave daughters are not the best milking, in some cases a cat just might give more milk.

Thanks again for your help

We use SunSeeker's sire, ( Wilson), on Heatseeker's & Heat Wave's. We think that heifers can compete with both Dr. Who's & Hannibal's. Have some very good heifers out of him on HW daughters. Wilson's chi reg # is 337012, WMW on a line bred Throttle cow. Witt/Jay Rodehorst owns the cow and did share a flush on her with Sander's last fall. Flushed her to WMW.
  Thanks JO. Brent
FYI, I'm sure that you know already, but SunSeeker is THC.

maybe change the question around a little bit.

who would you breed heatwave to to get females and who would you breed those females to and leave steers/bulls out of the question.
