What does every one think I should breed her to she is curently bred to sunseeker but I want to get some more opinions on whata to breed her to. I am looking for show steers and hiefers. She is just a plain old grade angus cow that I got from my grandfather and she has consistant calves every year so what do you think thanks

Some reason she doesn't look like she is all angus. If you were trying for heifers, I would try 3C Macho on her and if you are shooting for steers and she can handle some weight Heat Wave or Heat Seeker.

Heat Wave works good on sound angus cows, so that might be the way to go. But I think Dr. Who would work good also. Either way it should work. Good Luck!!!

OH Breeder she has a little chi in her because her grandsire was 1/4 chi but the rest is angus. Back to the heat wave thing where can I get seman because Bovine Elite Doesn't have any. Also what does everyone have to say about the sunseeker cross

clubcalve, the genetics of the cow has alot to with it.i have had heatwave calves that were duds on one cow and good ones on the next and i have had flushmates thar were totally different.imo its a crapshoot anyways.there is no predictablity with heatwave .the calves i saw were out of angus cows, the monopolies.they were little and stout.i had a great 130 lb. dead heatwave calf.jmo.angus111

breed her to an angus that has some blow in her rib, a little more depth and a stouter chisel on her rear end.  she has a chi head, and kinda looks chi in general.

Wait and see what she does with Sun Seeker, that might hit a home run.  As Imentioned in other posts the newer bulls that seem to be doing a good job are worth considering.  I am referring to My turn, Unforgiven 22, and Point Taken.  Walks Alone would be a good choice if you don't mind trying unproven bulls.

I think you would get a quite a poerful calf with Sunseeker. I used him on one of my angus cows and worked great!
