I bought a photo package through the Junior Maine auction. First time I've had a professional take pictures. When is the best time of the year to take good pictures? Hubby was thinking while the grass is still green but I've also had people say when there is snow on the ground. Any thoughts on the subject? Will take both the younger heifers & some of my better cows.

Think about when you are going to use the pics.  Are they going to be used to promote a semen selling sire, calves for a sale, to promote your breeding program, or just to hang on the wall.  Take them when they cattle look their best or close to it.  The fall and early spring seem to be good times because its not to hot and the cattle won't melt and you won't freeze half to death from the cold preparing and taking the shots.  Be sure and check to see it there is a designated time frame or a time limit/expiration date on the package you bought .
