Most producers, large and small in the Ozarks go to the coffee shop, or they sit with their buddies and chew the fat on sale days at the nearest weekly feeder cattle auction.
Some, if they're church-goers, stand around outside the church-house together and talk smack with the Deacons and male Sunday School Teachers, while they catch a chew,a dip, or a cigarette between Sunday School Class and Worship Service.
A few MAY talk with the employees or Mgt at the Feed or Supply Store about Health or Nutrition.
A select few ask informed questions to their Large-Animal Veterinarian.
ALMOST NONE....under NO PERMITTED CIRCUMSTANCES....ever talk to their local University Extension Agent, unless it's about their children's pending 4H Award or participation.
Hate to say it. This is the stark reality of things where i was raised.
