who "clips" their family's hair?

As I was using the clippers to cut my son's hair today I wondered who else is practicing their cattle clipping on people! I actually first started on my husband, then kids, now cattle. I laugh now when I think of the time I tried to use my husbands hair trimmer to do a topline with the guards. I soon gave those up. But today I did find myself practicing blending skills on my son.HA

My grandma is a professional "hair cutter" (for lack of a better word ??). It always makes it nice when we need a quick trim or something. I've never really had anyone else cut my hair. I don't think she's every tried it, but she might be good at clipping calves who knows?

I cut my boys'  hair, after several barbers and many bad haircuts it just seemed crazy to continue to pay 36 dollars everytime they needed a haircut, I figured I could give them a bad haircut for free, so I decided to practice on them.

there is a place here at the wall mart that with the college discount costs about10 bucks.  Call me a pretty boy but 10 buck every 3 months is ok for me to look my best(well for me at least)

Exactly.  I usually let my hair get pretty shaggy...and then get it cut pretty short...but I'm not gonna be doin it at home.  I might be needin to look as good as possible if I ever wanna get one of those "date" things.  O0

I've cut my hair for years. since it's some what curley it hides my mistakes.
Hubby did try the clipper on one side once, I did have to go to the beauty parlor after that. Luckily she is a cattle person too so she got a big laugh out of it.

OT, but how DO you slick shear? I've seen them pictures of Angus cows slick as can be, and I wanted to know how they did it, what kind of clippers, ect. Thanks.
