I was looking at Who Made Who's EPD for birthweight. He is showing a - 0.1 BW with .93 acc. Anyone use him for calving ease? Never heard of huge monsters but have heard of large birthweights.

I know lots of folks that have suggested and used him for Calving Ease, and with pretty good results.  Sure, you're gonna get the occasional big one, but if you use him on heifers that aren't crossed up big time, he works pretty good.

I have a Get It Done heifer out of an anjus cow. She is moderate framed but would be nice to have that "who" front end on her. She really isn't crossed up too bad as far as composites go and was smaller at birth herself. I am not an Ali fan and was thinking might give Who a shot.Guess I can monitor closely but hate c-sections.

Gigolo Joe looks like he's throwing some whistle fronts too, and you would be going back Purebred on her.  I've heard a lot of good about Who on heifers, but I have NOT used him myself.

From the reports I have heard he is a more consistant calving ease sire than Ali, have heard of some really big Ali calves, not really heard those on Who.

I know several people that swear by using Who on heifers, like someone said, especially the ones that aren't crossed up a lot.  I've never seen a cow killer(120+) out of who

I have.  It was on a heifer that was bought from a sale that was bred to Who.  She was a simangus cross but seeing how she was purchased and not raised who knows what she really was.  The calf though was 125# heifer and both the cow and calf died.

that's the first big one i've heard of. i know a couple guys who bred first calf heifers to him for several years and didn't touch one.

I wouldn't put much faith in EPDs on a crossbred bull.

We use him on every heifer that's not already a crossed up clubby.  His daughters will work as replacements and his sons out of first calf heifers will classify Angus more times than not.

Totally agree with the above comments on when Who works on heifers. After breeding quite alot of heifers and cows to Who...If the heifer is not crossed up, Who is money on heifers. If the heifer, or Cow for that matter, is crossed up, keep your fingers crossed. Bred to my Angus or Simi/Angus, Who has thrown nothing over 78 pounds. Bred a 3yr old Heatseeker cow to Who last year and jacked a 108# heifer out of her. Tore her up and calf has never been right.

We used who this year on a 5 yr old cow that previously had two hw calves spit them right out.  This year her who bull calf was 125lbs hard pull love the calf stoutest thing we got but never would consider for a heifer IMO.

I have used Who Made Who on heifers numerous times and have never had any problems. They have been anywhere from 60 to 85 pounds. The calves are nice too! I have never been afraid to use him on heifers.

I have had a few WMW calves. The most recent out of a 1/2 Simmental 1/2 Limousin first calf heifer, that was weighing upwards of 1700 when she was bred and was pushing 2200 a couple days before she calved, she was dry lotted the whole time and deffiantly got more then her fair share of grain. She had it unassited and it was a 63 pound bull calf. I have some pictures of it but not on the right computer to upload them. I also have had a 19 month old heat seeker heifer calve out to WMW with a 75lb heifer. I would say he is safe to use on heifers.
