Yea-you thought I didnt see you-well just like Jessie Ventura or Arnold-Ill strike a quick pose-ILL SHOW YOU KOOL DUDE-Mark turned to the owner and said"-Hes only 3 weeks or so-YOU AINT STEERIN HIM"-the owner replied with a grin-"well I dont know-wut du yu think REBEL?" And thats where a pretty good calf got seen first-It was Mark T and Wendall Dunn looking at his new ones- April 1997-and it came to pass the calf stayed a bull-his name:DOUBLE VISION. O0

Cool story Mark. That is half the fun of this whole deal is all the stories of brushes with fame. The great ones we saw as calves or even better the great ones that we gave up two bids to early on. I kick myself for some of the animals we let get away. But then I figure if we would have owned them they wouldn't have turned out as popular.

That picture was taken with a disposable camera-but it was just ONE LOOK,and there arent many like that in a lifetime-relative to the time it occurs.-I talked to him a little and the caf  came up a little and posed like that-.You had to be there, it was magic, and Ive never experienced it like that since. We(me and Wendall Dunn ) both tried to act non-schalant and  cool- BUT WE Both knew that history was being made.I had my great one a couple days later 400 miles up the road called JR Walker he only lived a short time-and produced some really nice females-that is another story. After seeing the calf(S) we went down to the bull stud and looked at Double Stuff-who was just such a good old boy-hell be my next subject if I can find the pics.Thanx-Mark T O0

Great story and calf photo on what plenty of people still consider to be the best steer-producing shorthorn bull.

Mark T...I have a little bull calf that is about 3 weeks old you need to come see!/// Things have been so tight I havent even seen the hiefer in Indiana-thats why we have cameras-even though it may seem insignificant-those pictures really take on meaning-sometimes in very short order, sometimes not. I could spend a month just in Oklahoma-and another in Iowa-there are so many pockets of cool cattle O0
