I was learning about brindle perhaps being an expression of an E

gene masked in red or red gene carrying cattle that could show up in a mating to an E

carrier ( Braunvieh, for instance)
But I had once seen a "wild roan" shorthorn that was brindle marked, only in purple roan and white. So, I was just wondering if there could be a Wild Type gene interacting to cause that weird coloration..
