Very nice! Any plans to show at Agribition in Regina this year?

I don't think we will make it to Agribition this year.  Since the Diamond B dispersal, the Canadian Galloway breeders can't seem to get the numbers for a show.  It is too bad, we always had a blast, and met people from all over the world.

Oh that's so disappointing! My husband and I have a soft spot for Galloways and we were looking forward to seeing them at Agribition again this year. There's just something about the breed that has always fasinated us but we've never gone that route. When we first started in beef we bought an old black cow who gave us a heifer calf. That heifer calf has been one of our best cows to date. She is stalky and has a perfect udder. She never loses body condition no matter what she's eating and always raises a great calf. We always thought she had some old angus blood in her but when we saw the Galloways at Agribition we were shocked to see that she looked EXACTLY like them. Galloways have a different head shape then angus. After that we started to wonder if she was part Galloway. She is now raising now raising her 9th calf and looks like she could easily go another 10 years. Our 4-H club has been going every second year to Agribition as a field trip and we are planning on going this fall much to the delight of my kids!

2yr old heifer with heifer calf at side named Grand Champion Galloway Female at the 2012 NILE in Billings, MT.

She got a lot of attention in the stalls and in the ring.
