Will Star Power work on Angus heifers?

Just weaned and sold a calf off a first calf Star Power heifer that paid for the heifer.  Then she bred back first service.  Plenty of milk and great disposition.  Also, have a bull calf out that is flat out stout and thick.  Star Power has a place in my breeding program.  He would probably work fine on Angus--just never tried.

I would have promoted the bull as calving ease. He should have been based upon his pedigree, but turned out that he wasn't. He was a Dream On son out of a cow with decent calving ease numbers. He should have been easy calving and if he would've been, then he would be the #1 choice by far to breed clubby heifers too. Who didn't get excited about him when they knew that Dream On was siring a large % of the winners in the Simmental showring plus his well bred, attractive dam plus an awesome yearling photo.
The bull is a good bull who also took a great mature photo (which everyone on here is always whining about, never seeing a bull's mature pics). He didn't turn out to be easy calving. I don't think the owners are to blame for that. He's sired winners at least and probably works best on Angus cows. BUT like the owners have said NOT for heifers.

Star Power is not a good option on first calf heifers but if you have some bigger cows she should be fine.  I have a post asking about Star Power being a late bloomer and from all the info I have heard this is the fact but her is a picture of a great Star Power heifer out of what I believe was a Simmi-Angus cow.
