i'm a worker bee.  never been in business for myself.  total coward.  for those that have made the transition, what are some things that helped you.  for those that are in business for themselves through generations, what has helped you survive, expand, pass on those values.  I'm the first generation in our family that doesn't have anyone in business for themselves and would like to free myself of the yoke.

Yeah, I will be the fifth generation to farm in my family. My dad has always worked for himself, owned a trucking company, and a cattle company. I don't think he could survive any other way.  It sure is alot of work, but he loves every minute of it.
