just to be clear, i was kidding.  that first bull has the sorriest looking legs i think i've seen in quite a while.  the last bull is gross as well.  the french for some reason are not cutting these animals.  another couple of generations and they might need roller skates to get around.  a sad direction indeed.

theres a pic of an old bull from the 30's that ain't bad in that book i linked.

There are some bulls in the Shorthorn history books that look pretty incredible and you would wonder sometimes about so called progress. If I could use bulls from the past most would be from before the times of atificial insemination!
